Language Translator

Language TranslatorIt can be thought of as pretty lame to be carrying around foreign countries especially if you’re obvious about it. The language translator on the other hand, can be fairly useful…just remember to be a little discreet.

Toshiba Satellite - Travelers Special

Toshiba SatelliteSeveral folks are recommending this laptop for traveling. They cite the hard drive size (100 GB) as being a deciding factor as did the widescreen, battery life and weight (it’s around 6 pounds). For mine, it’s fairly standard but most certainly in the budget range at just over $700 which should be attractive to most users.

Portable DVD Player

DVD PlayerPerfect for watching DVD’s on a long flight, this portable player is decent for under $100. It’s lightweight and rugged durability are plusses. Lack of controls (mostly run through remote) and sub par speaker sound are minuses but rates well in bang for buck.

b000b61x1s01_aa_scmzzzzzzz_v40414790_.jpgTech Wanderer grabbed this great little printer and took it to a conference recently after being frustrated with the difficulty of getting things printed up on the road. It was a little ripper! Made my life so much easier. The only thing you need to remember is that these don’t come with USB cables so make sure you pick one up from another place.

Easily Travel with this mouse

Smallest mouseAnticipating a release this month, the Rotino Sigma is the smallest mouse out there. From the specs it loks like it has an adjustable sensitivity of 1000dpi for normal office type use and lightning quick 2000dpi for gamers with an especially sensitive trigger finger. Measuring a measly 30 x 70 x 20mm and weighing 40g, it’s easy to picture this thing disappearing into teh depths of a laptop bag. Apparently available in four colors, white, black, red and blue, the price for Sigma’s Rotino laser mouse is $25.
